Dr Francene Gayle Gives Tips On How To Stay Healthy And Take Care Of Your Family
There are many reasons why you should care about your health. It’s not only a good thing to do for yourself, but also for those around you. The following tips will help you stay healthy and take care of your family:
Make Sure Your Family Gets Enough Sleep
One of the most important things you can do to take care of your family is to make sure they get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for good health, as it helps us recover from daily stresses and allows our bodies to grow. The amount of sleep that is needed varies from person to person; however, being in bed for more than 8 hours per night has been associated with an increased risk for heart disease and stroke (1).
The National Sleep Foundation recommends that adults get 7-9 hours each night (2). Children need between 9-11 hours (3). If you feel like your child isn’t getting enough sleep at night or during naps, try these tips:
• Make sure the room where he/she sleeps has a comfortable temperature so he/she doesn’t wake up cold in the middle of the night.
• Have quiet toys around so he/she doesn’t get woken up by noise while playing quietly on his own
Eat More Plant-Based Meals
As you may know, vegetables and fruits are good for you. They help keep your body healthy by providing vitamins, minerals and fiber. Eating more plant-based meals will also make it easier to stay at a healthy weight because they’re lower in calories than other foods, says Dr Francene Gayle.
Plant-based diets don’t have to be vegan; they just mean that you eat more vegetables than meat or dairy products — so there’s no reason why anyone can’t try eating more plant-based meals! It’s easy enough to add extra vegetables into your meals that don’t even taste like they’re there: try mixing them into soups or stews instead of adding meat; add tomatoes on top of pizza instead of cheese; use pesto sauce instead of cheese sauce when having fettuccine alfredo…there are lots of ways that adding extra veggies will help keep everyone happy while still making sure everyone gets their daily dose click here Dr Francene Gayle!
